渴望共融
現任羅馬天主教第266任教宗方濟各(Pope Francis)2014.11.29以謙卑的姿態請東正教普世牧首(Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople) Bartholomew I 為自己及羅馬教會祝福，努力弭平過去歷史上的恩怨。方濟各說：「天主教會渴望，而我身為羅馬主教，渴望看到與正教會彼此共融(團契)。」(The one thing that the Catholic Church desires and that I seek as Bishop of Rome…is communion with the Orthodox Churches.)
