“I Am His Brother” – A Prayer of Martin Luther

O gracious God,
哦！恩典的神，

I am fully aware that I am unworthy.
我完全知道，我不配。

I deserve to be a brother of Satan and not of Christ.
我只堪是撒但的弟兄而不是基督的弟兄。

But Christ, your dear Son died and rose for me.
但基督，上帝的愛子為我死而復活。

I am his brother.
使我成為他的弟兄。

He earnestly desires that I should believe in him,
他誠摯地渴望我信靠他，

without doubt and fear.
毫無疑問和恐懼。

I need no longer regard myself
我不需要再把自己

as unworthy and full of sin.
當成不配和充滿罪惡。

For this I love and thank him from my heart.
為此，我由衷的愛他和感謝他。

Praise be to the faithful Savior,
讚美歸給信實的救主，

for he is so gracious and merciful
因為他是何等的慈悲與憐憫

as are you and the Holy Spirit in eternity.
