美國神學家雷茵霍爾德·尼布爾(Reinhold Niebuhr, 1892.6.21-1971.6.1)，他最出名的工作是試圖將基督信仰和現代政治外交聯繫起來。他為現代「正義戰爭」思想做了很大貢獻。著有《道德的人與不道德的社會》、《人的本性與命運》等。2017年美國公共廣播電視公司PBS製作了一部講述尼布爾生平的紀錄片「美國的良知 —— 雷茵霍爾德·尼布爾的故事」。

主啊！求祢賜我寧靜的心，
to accept the things I cannot change;
去接受我不能改變的一切；
courage to change the things I can;
